Elected government index (IDEA)

The Elected Government Index (IDEA), created by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), measures the degree to which governments are democratically elected and reflect the will of the people. This index evaluates aspects such as the fairness of the electoral processes, the inclusiveness of voter participation, and the extent to which elected officials hold genuine power to govern as opposed to other unelected bodies.
