Freedom of religion index (IDEA)

The Freedom of Religion Index (IDEA), developed by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), measures the degree to which individuals in different countries can freely practice their religion or beliefs without government interference or societal discrimination. This index assesses the legal protections in place, the enforcement of these laws, and the actual ability of people to worship, observe, practice, and teach their religious beliefs in both public and private settings.
