A research report entitled "Digital Technology Adoption and Access to Finance among Micro and Small Enterprises in Addis Ababa" was presented at the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) premises on March 29, 2024. The research project is led by Dr. Eyoual Demeke, Dr. Asha Sundaram (University of Auckland), and Dr. Tewodros Tesemma, which focused on the adoption of digital technologies and access to finance among micro and small enterprises in Addis Ababa. The exploratory research is financially supported by Private Enterprise Development in Low-Income Countries (PEDL).
Experts from various relevant stakeholders including Ethiotelecom, Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, and Ministry of Innovation and Technology, and owners of private firms and researchers from Addis Ababa University and PSI participated in the workshop.
